LOOOOOOVVVVEEEE Judy! I never read Forever, but certainly read many of her others. I think my intro to her was Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. And that will be my son’s intro once we finish Henry Huggins (his intro to Beverly Cleary). I remember an older girl telling me to NEVER, EVER read Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret or Blubber because those books were for bad girls. Seriously? I read both and they were fine. Especially the former. I still don’t understand why she said that.
Very strange! Are You There…is a masterpiece. A perfect glimpse into the heart and soul of a tween. And Forever…was like a blueprint for my first love. Blume is a master.
